Offer for Girls SEI certified goggles

CYLA Parents,

As you may be aware US Lacrosse has announced that effective January 1, 2020 all eyewear must be SEI certified to the current ASTM F3077 standard and listed on the SEI website (SEI Link) to be legal for play for the 2020 season, for both youth and high school level play. All manufacturers must mark product produced on and after January 1, 2020 with the appropriate ASTM standard requirement and SEI mark (see below).

At the High School level, eyewear worn on the field must be SEI certified and listed on the SEI site, however it does not have to have the SEI mark on it for the 2020 season.

At the Youth level, the eyewear worn on the field must be SEI certified and listed on the SEI site and must have the SEI mark of certification for the 2020 season.

This means all players will need to have goggles that are stamped SEI Certified. This stamp can be found on the plastic of most goggles. We are unsure how this will be enforced on the school level and the youth level. To see if you daughter has certified goggles look for the SEI certified stamp.

So to avoid any issues the West Genesee program has put together a webstore through TAMA Lacrosse to provide you with a discounted price on goggles and extended this offer to CYLA.  The STX  4sight Ti goggles will be offered.   The goggles are usually priced at $90. You can purchase them through the WG Program for $63 They will be Navy/Graphite in color.  Below is a link for certified goggles and a link for the webstore. The webstore closes Friday February 7th.
